July 25, 2008 If you're a comic or cartooning fan, then you already know what started yesterday in San Diego. If you can't be there in person then you'll want to watch the G4 cable channel the rest of the week as they put into heavy rotation their San Diego Comic Con report. Although I haven't had the chance to watch the full first day report ('cuz I was putting today's post together), I did hear over my shoulder an interview with Michael Uslan (the single person responsible for Batman being a theatrical presence whatsoever) report that the ink has been dried on the contracts to bring Doc Savage back to the screen. ..............................................................................*** If you're a fan of Tank Girl you already know the name Jamie Hewlett, but if not, you may recognize his work bringing the visual look of the rock band Gorillaz to life. Jamie has recently worked on a promo piece to advertise the Olympics for the BBC and it's pretty impressive. Check it out!
